This was a big week in our household! Lots of firsts for everyone involved.
Addy has been having some major breakthroughs in the mobility department. We aren't concerned about her lack of crawling, or standing, or caring for that matter. We have just been chalking it up so her extremely mellow personality, but this week she stood up for the first time from in her crib during nap (and second time, and third time, and fourth time). The look on her face was so proud when I went to get her it was ridiculous!
(side note: the mattress was lowered that day)
She also began "crawling" this week. I use quotations because it is the most cautious, slow moving crawl you probably would ever see. It's adorable of course!
(side note):I also ran into a funny blog when researching the proper use of quotations for another project.
I went away overnight for the first time without my little. I did not feel one bit guilty or worried. It was a great time! The other two ladies in my room even insisted I sleep in my own bed (we were in a hotel) so I could fully enjoy the sleep. Everyone kept asking me how I was doing and I just shrugged my shoulders said I was fine and asked, "Is it bad that I feel fine?"
I always got a resounding "no!"
Jon had his first night by himself with the little! He did great, and I was not worried at all. He did tell me though that he didn't sleep very well and would wake up wondering if she was okay or if she needed him.
I believe his exact words were. "When you are home I just figure you will take care of or hear her if she needs something so I sleep so well."
I then said, "So now you know what the last 11.5 months of my sleep life have been like?"
His response, "Maybe just a little."
He did great. Addy did great. Mommy did great.
Jon and I got to enjoy a dinner date thanks to my boss and her husband. That was our February date night out of the house. We went on March 1st, but the end of February snuck up on us - even with Leap Day!
I finished Addy's Birthday dress - a post on that coming this week.
I also posted a great giveaway. Don't forget to enter!
Here are some photos of my sweets. I was playing with my camera and trying to figure it out (which I think will be April's goal for me).
Her crazy hair...
...and the wild blue eyes (Jon and I both have brown)
Oh I just love her!
Hope you had a great week!
