Sunday Snippet

This week has been a whirlwind!! As you saw on my menu planning post we had a few social gatherings this week - plus I ended up working two extra days in the office.

For readers who may not know me personally, I work for Judy Higgins at Coldwell Banker Tomlinson. I have been a part of her Real Estate Team for 6.5 years. I originally was her full-time transaction coordinator/office manager, but since I wanted to be home with my little one, I work a little bit from home and one day in the office each week. It is the PERFECT schedule for us right now in this phase of life and I love it!

Occasionally there are opportunities where I can work an extra day here and there if my childcare situation works out, and this week I ended up working in the office one extra day and showing property one extra day. I do hold my Washington and Idaho Real Estate License currently so I can do all the "REALTOR" things when need be - but that's not my primary role.

We decided we were going to use some of my extra in this paycheck to have family photos taken for Addy's birthday which will be great!

Jon stayed home with Addy those two days, and as much as I missed her, it was refreshing to be working and remembering "wow, I can do this." I love staying at home, but sometimes it's nice to get away and use my gifts in a different way.

We had so much fun with our friends that we connected with this week! Definitely need to create more space for friends in our lives. Our schedules are just too busy sometimes.

I had a ridiculous case of mommy brain this week. I have a confession to make. I used to think that mommy brain was an excuse for forgetting things. I'm here to say it's a real true problem.
- Case and Point: I brought my baby monitor to the gym this week instead of my water bottle.
- Case and Point: I left my lockbox key in a lockbox drove to the clear other side of town only to go back and get my left behind key - WHILE showing property.
- Case and Point: I ruined a baking project by not following instructions correctly
I miss my old brain. The brain that RARELY forgot a detail and planned and organized to a fault. Sad day.
