Sunday Snippet

This has been a super fun week for me in the land of blogging!  I have loved this new blog and have loved sharing all sorts of random splatterings of info!  It's also worked as sort of an accountability to me to complete projects I start, and stay on top of my menu planning!  This week I had my first reader hire me to do an "organization consultation," I guess you could say.  I had a blast doing it, and I felt that it went well overall!  I'm super excited to see the transformation of their space over time!

I also had my first sewing project "sale."  I had no intention of selling my projects, so it was a super fun bonus to have someone see my work, and say I want one!!

I also have my first review product coming my way!  Super excited to review and then giveaway one of these fun items!  I'd encourage you to "like" my blog on facebook (top of the left sidebar) or follow me through google so you don't miss it!

In other non-blog related news:

I recived my Kindle Fire this week!! I'm loving it more each day.  It also came with a one month free membership to amazon prime so I have borrowed The Hunger Games to see what all the hype is about.  I actually am quite into it after only a couple of chapters... interested to see where it is headed.  I have never been an amazon prime member, but since Netflix has been so dissappointing lately I'm considering doing that instead since it will include some tv/videos, free two day shipping on most items, and a free book a month to borrow from the lending library... and it's cheaper than netflix.  Still not sure yet, but since Netflix cut the Cosby Show from instant I'm MAD! :)

My mom and grandma arrived yesterday for the weekend and will leave tomorrow.  We are gearing up for superbowl this afternoon with my aunt & uncle which will be fun. Lots of yummy food and lots of people to watch over Addy so I can have some free time, even if it's spent watching a football game I really don't care about.

We watched Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead a couple nights ago.  Wow... interested documentary about how these guys did a 60 day juicing fast to get healthy!  Kind of inspiring.  Not sure I could handle that and not sure I want to spring for a juicer but definately a motivation to eat lots more fruits and veggies.  I'd recommend it.  It's available on Instant Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant.

Am still reading Randy Alcorn's Money, Possessions, and Eternity.  I am loving it.  It reminds me of college days because it's a true theology book.  Long and VERY explanatory on every point... which is hard, yet enjoyable all at the same time.  Still is really challenging me to think about how we give, how much we give, and our standard of living.  The last chapter I read had 40 questions everyone should ask ourselves and God about giving.

The weather has been lovely the past few days so Addy and I bundled and walked to the nearest stores (Goodwill & St. vincents) and bought about $4 worth of treasures!  Might make that a routine once a week when we have good weather!

We also went to Moscow on Friday as a family.  Jon got his upgrade to a newer iPhone.  We did some shopping at Tri-State, Michaels, and Old Navy, and had lunch.  I also spent some time working on a baby shower for my sweet friend expecting end of April.

Fun, fun week!!
