Homemade Butterfingers

So I pinned this recipe other day on Pinterest and thought that maybe someday I would try to make it, then my friend Erik posted on his blog that he made the same pinned recipe and they really were as good as they sounded so I had to give it a try.  I also had to wait for an event to make them for because of what I learned from the Italian breadsticks incident... if it really is THAT good, we will eat them all.

I brought them to a birthday party and they were a hit!!  It was a potluck so I kept overhearing people say "who made these" or "you've got to try this" to someone else.  Needless to say they were yummy and they were soooooo easy to make.  I shared the recipe with several people there.

1. Melt 1 lb candy corn (YES CANDY CORN) in microwave for a min.  Keep heating in 15 second intervals stirring in between until it is melted.

2. Mix 16 oz creamy peanut butter into candy corn.

3. Pour mixutre into parchment lined 8x8 pan.

4. Once hardened cut into squares

5. Dip into whatever dipping chocolate you fancy.  We used chocolate almond bark because I already had in on hand.

6. Let it harden on wax/parchment paper and enjoy.

Here is my finished product:
