I don't know about you but I have been having fun seeing all these DIY body scrubs online! I was super excited when Michelle from SkA:nA, an upscale
spa at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino, wanted to write a post on a natural body scrub!! I am hoping to make some soon!

We all want that radiant, Oscar-worthy glow to our skin.
Unfortunately, most of us can’t afford thousand-dollar spa treatments and
expensive jars of miracle cream. Thankfully, you can achieve an Oscar-ready
skin glow using many of the products you have at home and for a fraction of the
cost of most spa treatments. These all-natural DIY remedies will exfoliate dry,
flaky skin and help bring out your natural, radiant glow, leaving you feeling
fresh, beautiful and ready for your close up.
Body Scrub
Ingredients
1-cup raw sugar
1-cup raw sugar
½-cup powdered oatmeal
½-cup sweet almond oil (any olive oil or carrier oil will work)
6-drops lavander essential oil (optional)
Directions: Mix the ingredients thoroughly. If you aren’t going to use the scrub right away, store it in an airtight container, (i.e. a mason jar).
Application: Take a hot shower to open your pores and rinse away any other moisturizers. Spread the scrub on your body in small circular motions slightly massaging your skin. This will ensure any dead skin is exfoliated. Rinse scrub. Ta – Da… No more dry skin!
The brown sugar portion of the scrub will work as the exfoliant, helping any dry skin rub away from the fresh smooth skin underneath. The oil will act as the moisturizer helping soften and hydrate your skin. The lavender essential oil that is optional adds another layer of fragrance that will have your skin smelling delicious.

“A body scrub like this might seem too
easy to be true, but trust me it works! It’s totally worth the few minutes to
make and use. From my experiences working at SkA:nA, an upscale spa at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino, I have learned the best ingredients to use are the ones that can
be found at your local grocery store, or your pantry! Using these ingredients allows you to rest
easy knowing you are safe from chemicals and don’t have a hole in your wallet
from spending too much on other products. Learning tips and tricks at work is
something I love doing, but sharing what I learn is my passion.” - Michelle
