Taylor Bridge Fire

I know many of you may have heard of the Taylor Bridge Fire currently going on near Cle Elum, Thorp, and Ellensburg Washington.  I am no reporter, but the reports I have been reading is that now there are over 70+ homes burned (including many other structures) and that was as of 9 pm last night.  Currently things I'm reading are that they are battling the fire in a cluster of homes right now where a few homes have already burned.

Ellensburg is my hometown.  Graduated high school EHS Class of 2001.  And we lived in a somewhat rural area that got about 2 miles from the fire line!  It is still going on and over 900 have been evacuated, and some people had to turn their horses and cattle loose because they could not move them in time.  The fairgrounds are sheltering livestock.  Central Washington University is sheltering families.  It's extremely sad because this is the community I was raised in.  I have loved watching the community bind together via facebook and know they will pull through, it's just sad.

Please pray for this fire to be contained an for rain!  Pray for the safety of the firefighters.  I know a few of them!  State of emergency was declared yesterday so now the National Guard has been helping and they were able to get it to 10% containment last I heard.

Here are some photos posted with their sources.

This house survived believe it or not!  Here is the story.
