I am thankful for the sunshine today! This week was filled with routine which was such a blessing. As much as I love taking trips and hanging out with people, I LOVE my routine.
Addy has been racking up the milestones with more walking, standing up by herself without pulling up on anything, and saying mama, dada, banana, bow wow wow (dog), and please. It's amazing how she can go from doing none of the above to all of the above in less than a week! She is so much fun right now. We have some games (that are not real games) that we play together, so it is fun connecting with her in a more relational way (rather than a "you meet my every need" sort of way).
I was able to spend some time with a good friend who was in town (she live in Hawaii now), which was so nice. She just came over for a mediocre lunch, but we chatted for a couple of hours which was super refreshing.
We babysat baby Ella, while our friends went out on a lunch date and everyone survived (it was their first time away from her). She basically slept the entire time so it was the easiest baby sitting I've ever done in my life. We also celebrated our good friend's birthday. I am so very thankful for the close friends we have here!
I started reading So Long Insecurity this week. Super good so far. I would recommend it to any woman, whether you would consider yourself insecure or not.
We have begun demolishing our deck with no plan of what we are doing next. This is not a good thing.
