I found a few tutorials on Pinterest but this one was the one I followed for the most part. I say "for the most part" because I was going no where near binding, and instead of ties I actually sewed a hair rubber band to the end to clasp around a button.
I used leftover chevron fabric from my hall project, hair band was in my bathroom drawer, and the button was just one I had in my small collection.
I used a laminated fabric on the inside liner so that way I could just wipe it down when it gets dirty. The selection of laminated fabric at Joanne's was pretty small, so this was the closest I could get to my vision, but isn't quite what I wanted it to be in my head.
I have gotten rid of some of the brushes that are in this photo since I never use them, but filled the spaces with my tweezers, eyeliners, and some glosses. It's pretty handy!
I did realize that I lose my patience on projects that are for me. My imperfections just get shrugged away, with "oh well, no one will ever see it." It only took a couple of hours to complete, and it really does help me find what I need in the mornings rather than digging frustratingly in my drawer.
