I have been having so much fun doing some projects for Addy's big birthday this weekend. I thought I would just share with you her garland that I hope to hang up! I got the idea from this blog post found through Pinterest of course.
I went through ZILLIONS of photos and picked one of my favorites from each month and had them printed in 5x7's at Costco. This was the most fun task!! How fun to look through 12 months of photos and see the crazy amount of growth that takes place in one year. Honestly - how cool is that?!
I cut out paper circles and numbers and glued them to clothespins (that Jon had to search around for in the dark and all over our yard because I had to finish THAT INSTANT). I was going to buy some cute ribbon or pom pom embelishing ribbon, but it was more than I wanted to spend, so I am using some twine that I already had on hand. This project cost me less than $5 which was just the cost of the photos!! Love it when I have everything on hand for a project. Especially love that my aunt has a cricut to do all the cutting (which has been taking residency in my home for the past 5 months). Oops. (If you are reading this I swear I will return it after the baby shower I'm hosting at the end of the month!!)
Here is a snapshot of it:
Super excited for the festivities this weekend. I've been in reminiscing mode over the past few weeks... "this time last year I...." you know how it goes I'm sure.
What a difference a year makes!
