Some very gracious friends allowed us to use their cabin, and we literally were unplugged most of the weekend. We did a lot of relaxing. I took a nap both days, which is a big deal because I never can nap. I was really THAT tired.
We spent one afternoon just checking out the little town. Had coffee at Moxie Java, bought some candy from the candy store, went into a quilting shop and a bookstore.
We also took a drive out to Tamarack Resort. We didn't plan to go there, but baby girl has been protesting her 2nd nap, so we decided to take a car ride. The resort was being built, then got closed down because of lack of funds. They reopened the skiing area, but all that had already been built or started was still there, most of it empty. It was kind ghost townish but seriously the potential that lied in the resort was awesome. I hope it gets completed at some point because it would be fun to stay there.
It snowed, and the sun shone, so we got the best of both worlds.
I also started Mockingjay
Now that we're home I'm ready to hit the ground running shower planning for this next weekend!
I just had to take a picture of her little foot because I love it, and I don't ever want to forget how cute they are. Delicious!
Don't forget to come back tomorrow for my next giveaway!
Love McCall! Glad you got to get outta dodge for a few days.
