The Money Saving Mom's Budget -Audio Book Review

I was so excited when I was chosen to receive a free copy of The Money Saving Mom's Budget Audio book to review!  First of all, I adore Crystal Paine's blog Money Saving Mom, and was excited if she had any tricks up her sleeve for saving money that I had not heard yet!

This was the first audio book I have listened to as an adult. I'm not sure why I have never listened to one before, but one of the best parts of this book, was that I didn't have sit down and carve out time to read it.  I took it with me to the gym or I had it playing while I made dinner.  HOW AWESOME.  I think I will definitely be purchasing more audio books in general after doing this review.  There are so many good books I want to read, but I have a hard time finding that time at this stage of life.

Now back to the content of the book:  Some of it was a refresher for me on things I've learned from her blog, or other frugal living blogs, however I love that I have all those tips in one place, instead of having to look through all the my online bookmarks, I can open up the track (or chapter) on what I want a refresher on, and it's right there.  I also learned quite a few new tips on saving money!  I loved that the book was not very focused on coupons, because my time for couponing is getting smaller and smaller.  So I learned some other resources on saving money in other areas of our budget, so I don't have to stress about only couponing half-way.

I love Crystal's passion for living simply.  It's so easy to get caught up in the game of bigger and better everything.  I would consider myself a minimalist in my decor, clothing, and home but it's so easy for me to get distracted by others and feel myself discontent.  She focuses on choosing to be content, and that really encouraged me.  I will choose to be content. I will choose to be content.  I will choose to be content.

If you are just starting on the train of frugal living and even if you think you know it all, I highly recommend this book!  I loved it.  And if you don't have time for books - get the audio book and listen to it while you cart kids to and fro!
