Ice Cream Sundae Kits

Every year we like to put some sort of gift together for our co-worker's families.  Last year was chex mix, one year was chocolate dipped pretzels, this year we decided to put together Ice cream sundae kits!

We purchased all of the contents at WinCo in the bulk bins when we were up in Moscow/Pullman for a WSU Cougar Basketball game last weekend.  I was in search of clear cellophane baggies to put the topping in but they were no where to be found so I settled on the snowflake ones, but once I put the sprinkls in there I realized they were just way too big.  I had some Wilton Candy Bags that I had used on my cake pops int he past so I used those for the toppings and then put two address labels back to back to seal them and label them.  I would have like to have printed labels, but I didn't think of it until afterwards.  Oh well.

I repackaged the cones and bowls so they were more beautiful.  I thought about making my own hot fudge, but all the recipes I could find required it to be refrigerated and I thought that would be pretty hard for people to get it straight to a fridge after we gifted it to them.  We wrapped shoe boxes (Jon did that part) and put the sundae kit in there with a little note for them to enjoy a family night treat on us.  All they have to do is buy some ice cream and they are set.

What are some fun gift ideas you have seen floating around??
