Weekly Menu Plan

If you think this week's  menu looks a lot like last weeks, that is because it is!
I did a great job doing all my cooking and we didn't order takeout - but we had SO.MANY.LEFTOVERS. that we didn't even need to make 3 of our scheduled meals!!  I guess that's a good thing for the budget, but I am now very glad that Hamburger Stew is gone (it was very good by the way but I had to make a few modifications).

So on the lineup for this week:

From Last week:
Crockpot Soup and Italian Bread sticks
Pineapple Jerk Chicken w/Rice
Steak, Baked Potato "chips", salad

and new:
Chicken Cordon Bleu (from the freezer)
Fettuchini Alfredo (from a box ... gasp)
Buffalo Chicken Tacos  - I told you these would become a regular

And I left one night designated for leftovers so that way I don't have a pile up this week.

The great thing is I already have almost everything on hand for our shopping list so I'm pretty sure our groceries this week will be under $20!

I am also going to be making a large batch of cookie dough baked oatmeal.  This recipe is actually really healthy and filling and I'm going to make it in muffin tins so I can freeze them in breakfast sized portions.  I made a single serving tonight for my sweet tooth and it is delicious!!  I made the applesauce variation because Money Saving Mom tried it with the banana and didn't like it so much.
